Jaio Cai, in the alleys of the lively business district, a salad bar shop that combines modern and fashionable ironware with elements of old houses. How to think about injecting the old space into new life is the most important task of S.Design studio in this case.
Injecting a breath of freshness and rejuvenation, S.Design studio has transformed this old and lifeless space by reassembling antiques and dated artifacts such as old coins, utility bills from half a century ago, and vintage photographs into new artworks. S.Design studio prides itself in not just physically reconstructing the old space into the new, but also tries to create new sentiments by reliving the old times.
Respecting the past, as very bricks and every corners are consisted of precious memories. This design project based on a century-old house also won us the 2017 Golden Point Design Award in the spatial design category.
